If you're planning to pick this up and play alongside one of the other Robin Hood games out there, don't be put off by the similar name! The game has a whole lot to offer in terms of game play, music and smooth running, and the 2D, top-down style looks like a perfect combination for bringing all this character and depth to the tabletop.
Sitting well on its parent site, the game is actually brilliant value for money. The game is only available in the US as an import at the moment, and if you're in the market for some classic RPG fun, Legend of Sherwood could just be the one you need. Related Features -
Video games have been accused of trivialising the source material before, but Legend of Sherwood seems to have covered its bases extremely well. While Robin Hood is still very true to the original legend, it's also given a new direction and a modern, edgy, ethnic twist to the tale.
With the added Christmassy on-screen exteriors, the game feels right at home among the titles in the Adventure Soft library. It seems a lot of effort has gone into this particular version of the legend, not least of which is the new gameplay features. The game is a very accessible, fun, and fast-paced game that will appeal to RPG fans.
The game is well executed, and has a nice blend of arcade and RPG style. The game is set in the medieval times, when Sherwood forest is being assaulted by the evil earl of Gisborne, who wants to avoid a dynastic male succession. Robin Hood enters the story and saves the day. d2c66b5586
