Silicon Valley follows a group of young men working on a startup company in Silicon Valley, California. The first season introduces the characters of Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch), Erlich Bachman (T.J. Miller), Nelson \"Big Head\" Bighetti (Josh Brener), Bertram Gilfoyle (Martin Starr), Dinesh Chugtai (Kumail Nanjiani), and Jared Dunn (Zach Woods), who work together to create an app called Pied Piper, which is the result of Hendricks' development of a data compression algorithm.

Of course, that's not always the case, like in the relationship between Gilfoyle and Dinesh, which had a fantastic, episode-long setup to the eventual reveal that Tara did not actually want to sleep with Dinesh. Within that prank though was a lot of character building, not only with Erlich's astonishment that anyone could find the Pakistani Denzel more attractive than he is, but in understanding more about Dinesh, who finally broke out of his partnership with Gilfoyle as a character. Little things like his decision board and his appeal to Tara showed more about Dinesh than we've seen all season.
Silicon Valley produced several fans during its seven-season run in the mid to late-2010s. The exploits of Richard Hendricks and the Pied Piper team present several funny plotlines, and the universe of the show becomes denser as their company faces increasingly difficult challenges.
